NSF HERD Survey

This dashboard contains data from the Higher Education Research and Development (HERD) Survey, which is administered by the National Science Foundation (NSF). The survey collects data on research and development expenditures at U.S. colleges and universities. Data is available from fiscal year 2010 onward.

  • A maximum of 30 institutions are included in the “Peer Comparisons” tab
